Kevin William Muxlow, age 48, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on May 5, 2025 surrounded by family.
Kevin was born on March 10, 1977 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was the beloved son of Ralph and Patricia Muxlow of Santa Fe.
He is survived by his parents, his faithful canine companion, Carlos, one sister, Kimberly Bousquet (Patrick), of St. Louis, Missouri, one brother, Chad Muxlow, of Springfield, Missouri, his beloved nieces and nephews Emmett McMenamy, Juliette Bousquet, Omarion Bousquet, Tyler Muxlow, Chase Muxlow, and Anna Muxlow, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues who will miss his kind heart, megawatt smile, and uncanny ability to spark joy in those around him.
Kevin graduated from Richland High School in Richland, Missouri, in 1995. He graduated from Drury College, now Drury University, in 1999, and Washburn School of Law in May 2002.
Kevin was a member of the Kansas, Missouri, and New Mexico bars. He practiced law in the Kansas City area for about 20 years before returning to New Mexico to live in proximity to his parents and grandfather, Edward L. Duran. Kevin was employed as an attorney by the New Mexico Children’s Youth and Family Division at the time of his death.
Kevin had a passion for sports and was an avid golfer. He played on the Drury College golf team for four years and made many friends along his sports journey.
Kevin was an incredible doggy dad and never met a dog he didn’t like.
Kevin had one of the kindest, most generous hearts — someone who gave without question, helped without hesitation, and always brought a calm, steady presence wherever he went. And somehow, even in the toughest times, he still found ways to make us laugh. Kevin’s presence alone brought comfort and we will miss him dearly.
