Kenneth “Ken” Jacquez, 47, passed away in the late morning of August 23, 2025. Ken was born on October 3, 1977, in La Jara, Colorado, to parents Jeffrey Jacquez and Maria (Quintana) Jacquez.
Ken graduated from Centennial High School in San Luis, Colorado, in 1996. Ken lived most of his life in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he dedicated 25 years of his life as an account sales representative for Coca-Cola. During this time, he built lasting friendships and was known for his hard work and easygoing personality. After retiring, he found joy in working alongside his son and best friend, Marcos, building and restoring classic cars, a passion that had been with him all his life. Ken’s craftsmanship and love for classic cars reflected his creativity and pride. He owned multiple Lowriders, only competing with himself to make each one better than the last. His love for lowriders left a lasting mark on the lowrider community, not only locally but also across the country.
Music was another love of his, where he enjoyed playing the drums and going to concerts, but above all, his greatest joy and accomplishment in life was being a dad. Ken was endlessly proud of his four children, Marcos, Alicia, Angelica, and Camila. He loved sharing his passions with them, taking them on adventures and Sunday afternoon cruises, all while filling their lives with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Ken will always be remembered for his quick wit, his storytelling, and his ability to make everyone laugh. With a big heart and a friendly spirit, he never met a stranger and treated everyone like family. His love, humor, and devotion to those around him will live on through his children and all who knew him.
Ken was preceded in death by his grandparents, Felix Jacquez, Lula Jacquez, and John Quintana, Great Uncle Cornelio Candelaria, Uncles Joseph Quintana, Gilbert Quintana, and Ivan Quintana, Aunts Lucille Quintana and Juanita Quintana.
Ken is survived by his son Marcos Jacquez and daughters Alicia Jacquez, Angelica Jacquez, and Camila Jacquez, dogs Daisy and Peanut, parents Jeffrey Jacquez and Maria Jacquez, Sister Lisa Casias (Lucas), and nieces and nephews Domonic, Brandon, Tyree, Destinee, Fayth, and Lucas, Grandma Vayola Quintana, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on July 25th, 2026, in San Luis, Colorado, during the celebrations of Santana. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Ken to join in honoring his memory. More details to come as the date approaches.
