Joyce Elizabeth Kilgore

Joyce Elizabeth Kilgore, age 87 of Peñasco, NM died November 6, 2025. She was born February 23, 1938 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, daughter of David Hamilton and Nell Cotham Hamilton.

Ms. Kilgore was a graduate of Ohio State University and The Franciscan University of Steubenville. She taught in the Columbus Public Schools for 7 years after graduation from OSU and in St. Anthony School in Peñasco for 3 years prior to becoming Director of Religious Education for San Antonio Parish. She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Society within the parish and an animal welfare activist in the area.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Anne Kilgore of Taos. New Mexico. Kathleen Kilgore, and grandson, Gabriel Neff.

A rosary will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 9AM at San Antonio De Padua Church with a mass to follow at 10AM. A celebration of life will be held at the Guadalupe Center following the burial.
