Josie Gonzalez Ortega

Josie Gonzales Ortega, born on 2-8-1935, went to glory on 7-10-2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doroteo and Manuelita Gonzales, husband, Tito Ortega, brothers, Don and Ernie Gonzales, in-laws, Reymundo Ortega and Erinea Ortega. In-laws: Nellie Ortega, Fred Ortega, Sofía, Bill Spencer, Benjie Ortega Sr, Aunt Polly Lucero and Feliz Garcia . Grandsons, Sebastian Ortega and Jeremy Rodriguez-Ortega. Survived by her children, Marti (Ernesto), Mike, Robert (Marcella), Everett (Fran), Lori (Gil), Janet (Richard), Kenny (Cheri), and John Ortega. She had 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. All eight children and grandchildren referred to her as “blessed.” Her legacy was to share the love of God with everyone she met, as she took to heart the Great Commission and shared the “good news”. All her family will miss her and her infectious smile. She now walks on streets of gold with many who she loved and loved her. It’s not goodbye, but “Con Dios.” Crazy8@Josies- love you, Mama.
