Joseph Garcia

Joseph (Joe B.) Garcia passed away on April 8, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Santa Fe, NM on November 28, 1946. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe U. and Rose Garcia, sisters Trudi Garcia and Lucy Payne. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Fay Garcia, son Joey, daughter Amanda Bavaro (Eric), grandchildren Jacob and Carly Bavaro, sisters Marie Sanchez, Evelyn Roberts (Kent), Eileen Fresquez and Sylvia Barela (Jack), many nieces, nephews and life-long supportive friends. Joseph’s greatest pleasure was coaching his son’s and grandson’s baseball teams and daughter’s softball team. He was their biggest fan. Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed beyond words. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Santa Fe Dialysis Center where Joseph received exceptional care and compassion. A rosary will be held on Thursday, April 13, at 6:00 p.m. at Rivera Family Kiva of Light, 417 E. Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM.
