Joseph Jacquez

It is with deep sadness to announce the passing of our dearly beloved Joseph Jacquez Sr., age 61, a resident of Santa Cruz, NM, who passed away on Friday May 02, 2025. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Isabel Jacquez, son Valentin Jacquez, brothers Daniel and Bert Jacquez, Paternal grandparents Julian and Dolores Jacquez and Maternal grandparents Leopoldo and Feliz Lujan.

Joseph was a well-known musician he performed with the family band with his wife and brothers “Los Jacquez” Joseph was a very kind and loving person who would give his shirt off his back and give his last dollar in his pocket to anyone in need, always willing to lend a helping hand to help remodel homes for his family and friends. He always told jokes to make anyone he was with laugh.

Joseph is survived by his daughter Dolores Jacquez companion Richard, son Joseph Jacquez Jr. parents Eloy and Rosina Jacquez, brothers and sister, Orlando Jacquez Sr. and companion Debra, Eloy Jacquez and wife Brenda, Larry Jacquez and wife Berlinda and Geraldine Jacquez-Trujillo and husband Leonard, grandchildren Isabel DeAguero, Manuel DeAguero, Rylan Vasquez, Kyanna Vasquez, Isaiah Dominguez, Fernando Jacquez, Angelic Jacquez, Nevaeh Jacquez and Joseph Jacquez III. Very special close cousin he considered his sister Kathy Herrera, cousins Jose “JJ” Griego and Katrina Griego. Sister-in-Laws Debbie Jacquez and Jaunita Martinez, Aunts and Uncles Tonita Garcia and Clyde, Alfonso Lujan and Julia Griego, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Rosary will be on Monday May 19, 2025, at Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations of Espanola at 6:00 PM

Mass of Christian burial take place on Tuesday May 20, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Santa Cruz, NM at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Nuestra Senora de Carmel Cemetery in Chimayo, NM

Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren

Serving as Pallbearers to take Joseph to his resting place are Luis Griego, Yolanda Gomez, Alejandro Valdez, Toby Chacon, Manuel DeAguero and Orlando Jacquez Jr.
