Jose Martinez

Jose Ramon Martinez, 86, resident of Santa Fe, NM passed away on September 18, 2021 due to natural causes. He was born on November 2, 1934 in Chimayo, NM to Amalia. He married vickie in Santa Fe, NM.

He is preceded in death by his mother; Amalia Martinez, wife; Vickie Martinez, Aunt; Susie Martinez, step-son; Frank Benavidez, step-daughter; Phyllis Benavidez, brother; Juan Benito Martinez.

He is survived by his son; Ronald Martinez, brother; Adelaido Martinez, granddaughters; Erin, Jordan, Aneesa and Ainsley Martinez, grandsons; Adam and Joshua Martinez.

In his younger year he was a professional boxer and was a PFC in the Army. He owned his own business called JR Martinez Plastering. He was a very dedicated hard worker. In his older years he competed in senior Olympic running events. We will miss him dearly and he will always be in our thoughts.
