John Wilkinson

John E. Wilkinson age 83 a resident of Santa Fe, N.M. passed away April 14, 2016. He was born July 31, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan. John is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Emma D. Wilkinson. He is survived by daughters Yvonne LeBow (Anthony), Yvette Brown (George) and Michelle Martinez (Anthony), six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. John was a loving, generous, kind husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He served the community as an optician for 55 years. He was fun loving and always made everyone laugh. He treated everyone the same no matter who they were. This is evident by the numerous friends he had over the years. He never met a stranger. We will miss his stories and his humor. He raised his 3 girls with strength, wisdom, character and love. We know he is home with the Lord and we will all be with him again soon. Interment will be held April 22, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with a graveside service. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to your favorite charity.
