Johnny M. Velasquez

Johnny Manuel Velasquez, 29, a resident of La Mesa De Poleo and Española, passed away on May 4th, 2025. Born on October 13,1995 in Leadville CO. 

He was preceded in death by his loving mother Jacqueline Ferran, paternal grandfather Leo Velasquez who he adored, Uncle Jesus Ferran, and his Cousin Alexandra Velasquez. Johnny is survived by his father/stepmother, Bennie (Cristina) Velasquez, siblings from fathers' side, Unica Velasquez, Naomi Velasquez and Vicente Velasquez. Siblings from mothers' side Kayla Ferran (Jenay), Joseph Ferran (Angelica), Justin and Jordan Marshall. A very special grandmother Anita Velasquez of La Mesa de Pinavetal, grandparents; Lloyd/Wanda Ferran of Hernandez, Joseph/Myra Lopez of Abiquiu. Significant other Patrece Visarraga. Godparents (Uncle/Aunt); Ronnie (Cindy) Velasquez. Uncles; Margo (Julie) Velasquez, Ricardo Velasquez, Lloyd (Lavina)Ferran, Jody Lopez and Samuel Lopez. Aunts Lloyda Ferran, Theresa Ferran (Patrick) and Roberta (Lawrence)Salazar. Nieces and Nephew; Adalynn, Alani and Ayden and many other relatives and friends.

In his honor, A Public Viewing will take place on Tuesday May 13th at Rivera Family Funerals and Cremations of Espanola at 5:30pm, and a Rosery will begin at 6:30pm. A private burial service will be held at a later date.
