John Pacheco

John E. Pacheco a resident of El Guache, passed away on Monday July 20, 2026. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Pacheco; sons, John Paul and Zachary Pacheco; his in-laws Emma and Jose Avaristo Gurule and brother-in-law, Herman Gurule. Maternal Grandparents Santiago and Adelia Gallegos, Paternal Grandparents Damian and Frances Pacheco. John Pacheco is survived by his wife Michelle and son Mateo (Diana Mother of Mateo) and stepson Joseph Sprunk. Grandchildren, Xzavier and Xzander Pacheco, Lillyana Cisneros, Zachery Jr. and Lucas Trujillo; Mother and Father, Crescencia and Leo Sanchez, Father and Step Mother, Johnny and Dorothy Pacheco. Sisters: Deborah (Julian) Trujillo, Renee (Leonard) Martinez, Carol (Greg) Gomez, Corina (Mark) Vigil, Janet (Evan) Montoya, Carmen Pacheco. Numerous Nephews and Nieces, great nephews, great nieces, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, other Relatives and Friends.

John was a hardworking and devoted family man who would do anything to provide for those he loved. A gifted craftsman, he made his living building and restoring fine furniture and custom cabinetry, often spending long evenings perfecting each project. His talent and determination knew no bounds.

A true jack of all trades, John built his own home using handmade adobe bricks and crafted the custom cabinetry that filled it. He was also a skilled mechanic and plumber, always able to tackle any challenge with resourcefulness and pride.

John had a passion for riding his Harley and loved the freedom of the open road. He also found joy and peace in fishing, a pastime he truly cherished.

Above all, John treasured the time he spent with his son, Mateo. The two were inseparable, sharing a special bond filled with love and countless memories that will forever be cherished.

John also shared a loving relationship with his wife, Michelle. Together they enjoyed traveling, creating lasting memories, and simply being in each other's company. Their love and companionship were a source of happiness throughout their years together.

Above all, John was known for his generous heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and warmly welcomed family and friends into his home. His kindness, unwavering work ethic, and love for those around him will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rosary will be recited Friday August 14, 2026, at 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30AM. Burial will at San Jose Cemetery in Hernandez, NM.

Serving the family as Pallbearers, Xzavier and Xzander Pacheco, Tomas Martinez, Nicholas Gomez, Christopher and Benjamin Trujillo, Honorary pallbearers named are Lillyana, Zachery Jr. and Lucas Trujillo, Alexandra Martinez-Lopez, Falisha Trujillo, and Daniel Clay.
