Joe Eustacio Martinez

Joe Eustacio Tacho Martinez, 90, of Amalia passed away on February 19, 2015. He retired from the Pueblo Army Depot in 1974, then he moved back to Amalia where he worked at the sawmill and as a Ranger at RCCLA. He is preceded in death by his children, infant, Georgie Martinez, Pauline Maes and LuAnn Martinez, parents, Selviano and Salome Martinez, brother, Armando Martinez and sister, MaryAnn Cadillo. He is survived by his wife, Salome Martinez, daughters, Barbara Martinez and Debra Garcia (Robert) of Amalia, sisters, Lydia Trujillo (Ted), Irma Martinez, Ruby Diaz and Selma Cruz. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Rosary was recited on February 23, 2015. Funeral Mass was held on February 24, 2015. Both services were held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Costilla. Interment was held at the Amalia Cemetery.
