Jessica Lynn Ellvinger, born on October 23, 1976, departed this world surrounded by the loving embrace of her family on August 28, 2025, in Santa Fe. A vibrant spirit, Jessica was a beacon of joy and laughter, known for her wit, gentle demeanor, and an uncanny ability to make everyone around her smile.
Throughout her life, Jessica made a lasting impact in her roles at the City of Santa Fe Adult Detention Center, Office Depot, and the Santa Fe YMCA, where her innate love for children shone bright. Her proudest accomplishments were found not just in her career but in the warmth she cultivated within her family, her friends, and her community. She was an amazing aunt, showering her nieces and nephews with affection and unwavering support, teaching them the joys of football and basketball, and sharing delightful moments at arts and crafts museums.
Among her treasured memories was a special family trip to Cancun, Mexico, where laughter filled the air, and connections were deepened. The thrill of a night lighting fireworks in Las Cruces with her brother Marc stands as a testament to their boundless joy and the vibrant bond they shared. Jessica's zest for life was highlighted in her antics, such as wearing a tutu for her birthday, an amusing contradiction to her usual dress code, bringing all her loved ones to laughter.
Jessica's passion for music was evident. She loved to sing karaoke, and cherished every moment spent together, especially watching car races with her father, Jack, whose memory will forever be intertwined with her own vibrant legacy. While she playfully loathed the Dallas Cowboys, her joy was palpable during the unforgettable trip to see them play and during concerts where music became a universal language of love, most notably when she saw Luke Bryan.
Her gentle spirit and wicked humor left a lasting imprint on everyone lucky enough to know her. She had a special lizard in her backyard that was a constant companion and a reflection of her nurturing nature. Jessica flourished not only in her personal endeavors, but also in sports—the #1 goalie keeper in New Mexico, a talented basketball player, and a dedicated swimmer with the City of Santa Fe Seals, she embodied the essence of determination and spirit.
Jessica is survived by her loving mother, Betsy Ellvinger, her sister Jacqueline (Brandon), and her brother Marc (Nicole), alongside special family members Lynn and Mariah. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and countless loving friends who will forever hold her memory dear.
She joins her father, Jack Ellvinger; her brother, Christopher; and her dear grandparents, Joe and Della Quintana, Margorie and Jack Ellvinger, along with her godfather, Walter Quintana, and numerous relatives who now watch over her.
A memorial service will be held on September 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Rivera Family Funeral & Cremations of Santa Fe, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate the beautiful essence that was Jessica Lynn Ellvinger—a soul that brought light into the lives of so many and who will forever be remembered for her unwavering love and laughter.
