Hannah Marie Lewis

1989 — November 28, 2024

Hannah Marie Lewis will forever be remembered for her beautiful and kind soul. Hannah began her adventure in eternity with Jesus on November 28, 2024.

Hannah was the epitome of a life well lived. Born on May 5, 1989 to David and Dana Lewis, she was an adventurous little girl who fell in love with the mountains and that love for adventure carried throughout her life and took her to live with her love, Gregory Schlaff, in Taos, New Mexico with her precious fur-baby Polly.

Raised to be adventurous and fearless. One morning when Hannah was just a little girl, her and David went on a dirt bike ride where they arrived to a creek she had to cross. Hannah told her dad “Daddy I don’t think I can do it,” David said “you got this lil bit” and gave her a big push down the hill where she easily crossed the creek. David then shook his finger at Hannah and said “don’t tell me you can’t do something because you can do anything,” from then on she carried that confidence throughout her life and on many more adventures.

Hannah had built a special unbreakable bond with her brother Jake Lewis and wife Jodi, her two nieces Lila and Ella; and her nephew Kutter. She left a lasting mark on their hearts and her memory will forever be cherished by them.

One of the most beautiful chapters in a mother’s life is the birth of her daughter. It’s not just one defining moment that stands out; every moment Dana spent with Hannah has been a treasure, from her first trip to Colorado at six months old to watching her blossom into the remarkable woman she has become, our sweet magnolia. What we will miss the most are those simple, yet profound moments of being in her presence - sharing laughter, stories, and the quiet comfort of her being home.

You will never meet a more genuine person than Hannah-ree “lil bit” Lewis. She appreciated the simple things in life and enjoyed taking in every moment with those she loved. She is missed by her parents David and Dana Lewis; brother Jake Lewis and wife Jodi; nieces Lila and Ella Lewis; nephew Kutter Lewis; brother Austin Lewis; maternal grandmother Carolyn Shannon and husband Michael; paternal grandmother Charlene Lewis; step-grandmother Dianne Walker; Aunt Renee Lamirand and husband Ernie; Uncle Monty Magruder and wife Karen; Uncle Clinton Flowers; Uncle Chuck Lewis and wife Melissa; Aunt Jill Funk and husband Ron; Aunt Connie Keller; Aunt Jackie Strickland and husband Mark; Uncle Michael Lewis; Uncle Don Flood and wife Carolyn; Lynn Walker-Sanchez and many cousins and friends from all chapters of her life. Hannah was greeted in eternity by her maternal grandfather Darold Magruder; paternal grandfather James Lewis; Aunt Dena Magruder; and Great-aunt Sue Walker.
