Gregorio Valencia

Gregorio Valencia, born on May 27, 1930 was called to his eternal home on November 2, 2021 at the age of 91 after a lengthy bout with dementia. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Gregorio was a wood cutter and a very hard worker. He loved going to the mountains where he found peace and comfort. Gregorio was preceded in death by his son Jimmy, his parents; Emiliano and Elvira Valencia, his step-mother; Rosa G. Valencia, brothers; Alfonso (Ida) Reyes, Orlando and Margarito, and sisters; Geneva Gonzales, his mother and father- in-law Remijio and Edwigen Quintana, brother-in-law Remijio Jr. and Amador Quintana, son-in-law Don Ortiz. Three great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Gregorio is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Julia Valencia, daughter; Patricia Ortiz, Elvira Mireles (Hector), Isabel Armijo, Rae Lynn Tiscareno (Adelmo), Terri Bustillos and son; Ralph Valencia, sister; Virginia Trevino, Mary Oberem (Ron), Sandra (Victor), brothers; Horacio (Gloria), Melecio, Calatino (Mary Jane), Emiliano Jr. (Ann), Eugenio and Feliberto Quintana. sisters in law; Flora Mora, Erlinda Rougemont (Cipriano), Lilly Rieg (Gary), and brother in law Charlie Quintana and many other relatives.  Gregorio has 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Rivera Kiva Chapel of Light located at 417 E Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Pecos, NM followed by mass at 3:00 p.m.

Interment will take place following the mass at Pecos Cemetery.
