Gonzalo Gonzales Jr.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gonzalo Gonzales Jr. Gonzalo died peacefully in his sleep on September 2, 2015 at the age of 67. He was born on March 6, 1948 in Santa Fe, NM, to Gonzalo Gonzales Sr. and Katheryn L. Miller. Gonzalo was raised in Abiquiu, NM and graduated from McCurdy High School. He lived in the Reno, NV area most of his adult life. Gonzalo returned to NM three years ago to be closer to his mother and to help with the family agricultural business. He was preceded in death by his father Gonzalo Gonzales Sr. and his beloved sister Liana J. Gonzales. He is survived by his mother, Katheryn L. Miller of Santa Fe, NM, son, Gonzalo (Chip) Gonzales III of San Jose, CA, brother, Miguel E. Gonzales (Cecilia) of Abiquiu, NM, sister, Ramona Gonzales of Santa Fe, NM, brother, Ricardo Gonzales of Santa Fe, NM, sister, Francesca Quica Gonzales (Marco) of Santa Fe, NM, nieces and nephews, Chris Mahr, Danette Farnsworth and Liana Gonzales of California, Lucas Gonzales, Unica Viramontes and KC Rael of New Mexico. He is also survived by his former wife and close friend Patricia Gonzales of Sparks, NV., great nieces and nephews; Broox, Max, and Constance of California, Lilia, Estela, Roman and Amara of New Mexico, Step granddaughters, Brittany and Josefina of Reno, NV. Gonzalo is also survived by many other wonderful friends he considered family in New Mexico and Nevada. A memorial service took place on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Rosario Chapel, 540 Rosario Blvd, Santa Fe, NM 87501, (505) 984-3203.
