Gerard C. Roybal, 62, a resident of Pojoaque passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 26th, 2021 with his daughters by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents Leonordita and Reynaldo; his brothers Horacio, Eddie, Dan, David, Phil, Peter and his sister Diane.

He is survived by his daughters Kyra and Tamra Roybal and their mother Lisa Abeyta (Joe); as wellas, his 2 brothers and 6 sisters and his many nieces and nephews.

Gerard was a beloved member of the community and church and was always willing to help anyone who asked. He was a devout Catholic and would attend church services every Sunday at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupedel Valle Pojoaque. Gerard retired from Santa Fe County Public Works as a mechanic. After his retirement you could always find him fishing or out at a garage working on cars. He was a member of the United States Army and the National Guard Reserve, and he took great pride in being a veteran for his country. Gerard lived a happy and full life and he will be missed byeveryone whose lives he touched.

His funeral will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on February 12th at 1:30 pm, but due to Covid-19 restrictions it will be a private burial.

When all restrictions are lifted his daughters plan to hold something in his honor with friends and family to celebrate Gerard’s life.
