Guadalupe (Lupe) O. Florez, 92, of Midland, Texas, entered into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born July 9, 1934 in Lake Arthur, New Mexico to Luis and Pilar Florez.

Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Cynthia Alaniz of Midland, Texas, Celina Alaniz of Los Alamos, New Mexico and Celeste Aguilar (Ivan) of San Angelo, Texas. Her siblings: Julia Huerta of Artesia, New Mexico, Abel Florez of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Manuel Florez (Camille) of Artesia, New Mexico, Connie Holmes (Jess) of Artesia, New Mexico, Luis Florez (Aida) of Artesia, New Mexico and Edward Florez (Sonia) of Artesia, New Mexico.

Known to her beloved grandchildren as Nana, she is survived by grandchildren, Jon Ramirez (Sandra) of Midland, Texas, Jinger Meraz of Midland, Texas, Robert Bills IV (Tina) of Clonakilty, Ireland and Jaye Johnson (Angelica) of El Paso, Texas. Great-grandchildren: Anthony Olgin of Denton, Texas, Alicia Olgin of San Antonio, Texas, Mia Meraz of Midland, Texas, Joseph Espinoza of Midland, Texas, Marissa Espinoza of Midland, Texas and Isaac Ramirez of San Antonio, Texas, Zoey Bills of Clonakilty, Ireland, Alonso Johnson and Amari Johnson of El Paso, Texas. She is survived by great-great grandchildren, Mariah Olgin, Josiah Espinoza, Joe Michael Espinoza, Jazzlyn Espinoza, Addison McWhiter, Arabella Diaz and our newest edition, Ivory Rose Ramirez, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Pilar Florez and her brother, Oscar Florez.

Services will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Friday, August 21, 2026, with a Rosary beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m.

A special Thank you to Hospice of Midland, her caregivers, Virginia Villanueva and Linda Gates for their compassion and amazing care, Robert and Noemi Dominguez who came weekly to give her communion and do a weekly rosary.
