Frances Herrera

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved and precious mother, Frances Herrera, on May 5, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Frances was born in Santa Fe on April 15, 1940. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the heart of our home and family. She raised three children in a happy and loving home to be confident, independent, thoughtful, and loving adults. Frances also positively touched the lives of many individuals, family and friends. She was always there to lend a helping hand, give advice or just listen. She was also a dedicated and loving caregiver to her mother, Dolores.

Frances is preceded in death by her father, Tom Dominguez Sr. and mother, Dolores Dominguez; her husband of 59 years, Frank Herrera; sister Viola Lucero and brother Tom Dominguez Jr. She is survived by her daughters Sandra (Kenneth) and Diana (David), and her son Frank. Her three grandchildren, Daria, Alexander and Nicolas. Her many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Her faithful canine companion, Sophie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Church in Santa Fe on May 30, 2025. A Rosary will be said at 10:00 am followed by a Mass at 11:00 am. After the mass, Frances will be laid to rest at the Rosario Chapel Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
