Frances Garcia

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Frances Garcia, who passed away at the age of 91. 

Frances was truly the rock of our family a strong, loving, and beautiful soul whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to generations of family. She will forever be remembered for her kind heart, her strength, her humor, and the countless memories she created with those she loved.

 Frances was a hardworking woman who dedicated many years of her life to her career. She proudly worked at White Swan for 30 years and later at the Budget Inn for 25 years. Her strong work ethic and determination were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

She enjoyed the simple joys and adventures of life. She loved picking piñon, enjoyed her margaritas, and was always ready for an adventure. One of her memorable adventures was water skiing, and she especially loved traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada. She also had a special place in her heart for her two beloved cats, Casper and Jasper, who brought her much happiness.

 Frances was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Juanita Hurtado; her brother, Frank Hurtado; her sister's, Cecilia Hurtado; Ramona Garcia; her great-grandsons, John Martinez and Damian Vazquez; and her great-granddaughter, Cassandra Cde Baca.

 She leaves behind four generations of family, carrying with them the love, lessons, strength, and beautiful memories she gave so freely throughout her 91 years of life. Her family was her greatest treasure, and her love will continue to live on through each generation. 

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we are grateful for every moment, every laugh, every story, and every memory we were blessed to share with her. 

Frances, you were the heart and rock of our family. Your love will never be forgotten, and your memory will live on in all of us. 

Rest peacefully, Frances.

 Until we meet again, you will forever be loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts. Services are at 11:00 A.M. at Riveras Funeral Home in Santa Fe, on September 10th, 2026 following luncheon at the New Beginning Christian Church at 5984 Airport Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87507.
