In time, heartbreak found her as she bid farewell to her husband Serafin, as well as her beloved sons Baby, Larry, Eddie, and Jerry Montoya. Their absence was always felt, but Flor’s strength was the living heart of her family, holding the fragments of their collective grief and filling the cracks with gentle humor, faith, and boundless care.

Flor’s legacy persists in the lives of her surviving family, each touched and strengthened by her presence. Her daughters, Ornelia and Lucaria Montoya, continue to reflect their mother’s compassion and grace. Her son, Apolonio Montoya, carries forward her wisdom and resolve. Sons-in-law Juan Luis Villegas and Maurice Prada are woven into this family bond, embraced with affection and respect. Her sister, Rose A.
