Fidel Lopez

Fidel Lopez, a beloved family man, went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2025 with his family by his side. Fidel was 86 years old.

Fidel was born in La Joya, New Mexico on June 8, 1939 to Elias and Josefa Lopez. He was one of 8 children.

Fidel was preceded in death by his Parents Elias and Josefa Lopez; his daughter Joanne; his brothers Jesus, Victor, Edward; Sister Annie Armijo.

Brothers-in-laws, Isidro Armijo, Philip Martinez, Bernie Lucero Jr, Joe Lucero, Sister-in-Law, Irene Maez; his father-in-law Bernadino Lucero and mother-in-law Concepcion-Lucero.

He is survived by his Children: Anthony Lopez (Diane), Frances Lopez (Alvin), Krista Quintana (Richard). Ex wife Grace Lopez, Brother Orlando Lopez (Georgia), sisters Mary Martinez, Lupe Prada (Benny), Christina Salazar (Paul). Grand children; Richard Quintana Jr (Jesselle), Chantelle Quintana (Mathew) and great grand child Gracelynn Quintana. Also survived by his god-child Angel Romero (Ronald) and all his Nieces/Nephews, and other family members and friends.

Fidel served in the New Mexico National guard for 3 years. He worked as a plumber for many years before enjoying his retirement. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and the great outdoors.

Catholic services will be held on January 22, 2025 at St. Anthony's Church in Pecos NM with a Rosary at 10:00 am with a funeral Mass at 11:00 am and Burial to follow in the Pecos Cemetery
