With hearts heavy and spirits full of cherished memories, we share the passing of Felipe John Trujillo "Sharkie", who departed this world on July 19, 2026, after a life of generosity, devotion, and kindness. Born on October 23, 1980, to Liz Martinez and Phil Trujillo, John had a blend of strength, humor, and selflessness that left a positive mark on all who knew him.
John approached life as a fun-loving jokester, always ready with a laugh and a smile, but it was his dedication to family that guided every moment of his life. No gathering or reunion felt complete without John’s presence—he enjoyed every opportunity to connect with those he loved, creating memories that now comfort his family in their sorrow.
A true jack of all trades, John was good at working under the hood of a car or lending expertise wherever it was needed, there was no request too small or effort too great if it meant helping another. More than once, he was the guy to literally give you the shirt off his back, finding purpose and pride in his willingness to serve others before himself.
Nothing brought John more joy than time with his children. His love for them radiated through simple pleasures and extraordinary gestures—even waking up with painted nails because it made them smile, or inventing new ways to spoil them. He was proudest of being the one who would give his last dollar to someone in need, and those moments of selfless compassion are John’s enduring legacy.
Though his absence will be deeply felt, his spirit remains a guide for all who were touched by his warmth, humor, and relentless generosity. John taught us that family, laughter, and kindness are life’s greatest treasures. No matter the struggle, he always found a way to be a decent human, kind and loving, funny as heck, and overall a nice guy.
As we gather memories in the wake of this loss, let us be guided by John’s extraordinary example—cherishing the bonds that carry us through, lifted by laughter, and ever ready to give of ourselves for the sake of others. Felipe John Trujillo will be missed beyond words, but never, ever forgotten.
John is survived by his daughter, Amorette Trujillo; sister, Jessie Pintor; and brother, Matthew Pintor; former wife, Ariana Chavez Trujillo. He is preceded in death by his mother, Liz Martinez; father, Felipe Trujillo "Phil"; brother, Simon Trujillo; grandparents, Cecilia and Pete Martinez and Pat and Felipe Trujillo.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 11am - 12pm at Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations, 305 Calle Salazar Espanola, NM 87532.
