Felicia Archuleta

November 2, 2005 — May 2, 2025

Felicia Archuleta, a vibrant spirit born on November 2, 2005, in Espanola, New Mexico, left this world far too soon on May 2, 2025, at the tender age of 19. Her passing, tragic and untimely, has left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her—a true testament to the profound impact she had on the lives around her.

Felicia’s journey through life was marked by her infectious spirit and her desire to connect with others. She worked in housekeeping at the Santa Claran Casino, a position she approached with joy and dedication. However, it was her time at the car wash that was particularly special to her, a place where she forged many lasting friendships. Felicia was much more than a hard worker; she was a cherished companion, always seeking to spread warmth and kindness wherever she went.

Felicia poured Love and devotion into her relationships. Friends often became family in her embrace, finding comfort and care that made them feel welcomed, cherished, and even reluctant to leave her warm, inviting space. Always the adventurer at heart, she loved to explore the outdoors—camping, hiking, and attending concerts with those she adored. Her passion for family time was unmatched, especially when it came to her nephew Ethan. Ensuring that holidays were filled with love, laughter, and especially when it came to family BBQs and Christmas gatherings.

Felicia was a creative soul, captivated by the art of drawing and the joy that came from experimenting with different ideas and bringing her vision to life on paper—often seen coloring her own hair in vibrant hues or offering her talents to transform her mother’s and nieces’ hair as well. These creative endeavors mirrored her personality—a lovely mix of fun and spontaneity, with a hint of stubbornness inherited from her father, Leroy Ortega.

Felicia's personality resonated with those around her; she was a ‘people person’ who relished helping others. Even in quiet moments, her presence was a soothing balm. She aspired to be a veterinarian, illustrating her nurturing character and love for living beings.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure the memories they made together. Her parents, Leroy Ortega and Maria Archuleta, alongside her siblings—Makaila Fong (who shares a life with Christopher Livermore), Moses Archuleta (with Maria Rodriguez) Albert Fong ( with Sara Chun), Alicia Dela (with Alan) and, Daniel Lopez,—have lost a radiant light in Felicia. She is remembered fondly by Angelo Ortega (with Erica) and their children, as well as her dear nieces and nephews: Ethan, Kaylee, Mariah, Jensen, Osiris, David Jeshua, and Khamilla, and many aunts and uncles. Each held a unique bond with her that will endure despite the heartache of her absence. Felicia was also preceded in death by her brother Pablo Ortega, Carmen Ortega (Grandmother), Orlando Archuleta (Grandfather), Elizabeth Archuleta (Aunt), Anthony Archuleta (Uncle), Ostailo Archuleta (Uncle) whose memory is now tenderly intertwined with hers.

As her family and friends gather to celebrate her life, they will hold close the moments that defined her—a life so alive, so full of promise, and yet, so tragically short. Viewing will be held on May 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations of Espanola & Rio Grande Crematory, 305 Calle Salazar, Espanola, NM, 87532.
