Ezequiel "Zeke" Garcia

With broken hearts and enduring love, we honor the life of Ezequiel “Zeke” Garcia, 48, a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, companion, and friend. Zeke’s life was rooted in his faith in Christ, his devotion to his family, and the meaningful relationships he built along the way. Above all, he was a proud father to his children. He led by example, showing them the importance of faith, hard work, and being there for the people you love. His pride in his children was immeasurable, and the love and lessons he shared will continue to guide them throughout their lives.

Zeke shared a deep and loving bond with his parents, Tomas and Gloria. Zeke shared an especially strong bond with his father, Tomas, his brother, Julio, and his dear friend, Vince Valdez. They were the people closest to him, and their love, support, and companionship meant the world to him. Zeke worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory, most recently as a Work Execution Manager. Throughout his career, he built lasting friendships that meant so much to him, and he will be fondly remembered by those who worked alongside him. He also loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles and the freedom and joy of going for a ride.

Through it all, Zeke’s faith remained at the center of who he was. He sought to serve Christ and live by his beliefs, leaving his family an enduring example of devotion and love. His passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fill, but those who love him find comfort in the faith he held so dearly, the memories they shared, and the hope of being together again.

Zeke is lovingly remembered by his children, Kaytlyn (Art) and their children, Noah, Aurora, and Bella; Alyssa, and Matthew; his parents, Tomas and Gloria; his brother, Julio (Amanda); his nephews, Nikolas “Niko” and Diego, and his niece, Laney; the mother of his children, Josie Garcia; his special companion, Valerie Huerta; and his dear friend, Vince Valdez. He also leaves behind many other relatives and special friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Pallbearers will be his children, Kaytlyn, Matthew, and Alyssa, honoring their father with the same love he carried for them throughout his life.
