Esmiria Montoya

Esmiria May Montoya - 99 Passed away on December 20th, 2021 peacefully in Colorado Springs, CO. She was formerly from Questa, NM. She was born on October 5th, 1922 to Victor Cisneros & Catalina Bailon. She is preceded in death by her husband Eulogio Montoya,  her infant daughter Helen and sons Richard, Ernest, Leroy, & Rudy Montoya and grandsons  Julian & Anthony Montoya and Ronald Fernandez, grand-daughter Dana Lopez and great grand-daughter Kimberly Montoya.

She is survived by her children Jerry (Gloria) Montoya, Marilyn (Eloy) Romero, Mary Ann (Vicente) Fernandez, Loretta Montoya, Tomas Montoya, & Michael (Laurie) Montoya, 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, & 13 great-great grandchildren, plus many other special nieces, nephews, & relatives. 

She was a hardworking woman. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, camping, & traveling. Her favorite pastime was going to the Questa Senior Center with her friends & going to the casino with her family. 

Pallbearers are JonMykel Montoya, Nathan Montoya, Steven Romero, Anthony Young, Jeremy Cintas, & Kevin Montoya. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday December 28th, 2021 at Rivera's Funeral Home in Taos, NM & services will be held on Wednesday December 29th, 2021 at Living Word Ministries in Questa, NM.
