With sorrow, we mourn the death of our friend, Elizabeth “Lisa” Tringali, who passed away on October 9, 2026. Lisa was a beloved member of the Taos community who devoted her time and talents to making a difference in the lives of others. A truly lovely, spunky, and sweet person, Lisa had a distinctive blend of Boston sass and Taos chill, along with a heart as big as the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

She was known for her remarkable wealth of information, her fascinating trivia, and her deep knowledge of Taos and the surrounding areas. Friendly yet spicy, Lisa always had something interesting to share and a spirit that made her truly one of a kind.

Among her many contributions, Lisa came up with the name “For the Health of It,” a local fun run/walk supporting cancer awareness that began more than 15 years ago and continues to bring the community together for a meaningful cause.

Lisa leaves behind a lasting legacy of community service, friendship, and connection. She will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives she touched, but her remarkable spirit and contributions to Taos will not be forgotten.
