Elizabeth Liz Baca August 20, 1951 – September 10, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Liz” Baca, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Liz was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a woman whose faith, love and kindness touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved.

Throughout her life, Liz gave generously of herself. She had a warm heart, a caring spirit, and a way of making people feel loved and welcomed. Her strength, compassion, laughter, and beautiful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

In her final moments, Liz was surrounded by the people who meant the most to her—her loving family. Though her passing leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, her family finds comfort knowing she was deeply loved and never alone.

Liz leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through the lives of all those she touched. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

Liz is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Vigil (Carlos) and Tina Vigil; her two sons, Baudilio Baca (Crystal) and Roberto Baca (Yolanda); 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; Lorenzo Sanchez, Kenneth Trujillo, Rosita Sanchez, Rick Baca (Amy), Nicholas Baca, Lucas Sanchez (Danika), Reyna Baca, Marcos Vigil, Andres Baca, Naomi Romero (Estevan), Joaquin Baca, Alex Baca, Khloe Baca, Cruz Baca, Eithan Fernandez, Erie Ruiz, Abrielle Baldonado, Esai Baldonado and Jack Baca; her two sisters, Evelyn Vigil and Darlene Vigil; her brother Michael Vigil (Louella) and her two special friends, Martha Martinez and Sarah Martinez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto and Criselia Vigil; her brothers, Gilbert Atencio and Kenny Vigil; her sisters, Elvira Herrera and Maryann Trujillo; and her great-granddaughter, Cheyanne Salazar.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Presbyterian Home Hospice Care for the loving care and comfort they provided to Liz and her family.

Liz will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who were blessed to know her.

Services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Rivera Funeral Home in Espanola.

The family of Raymond W. Gonzales have entrusted the caring professionals at Rivera Family Funeral Home of Espanola to support them during this time. Our heartfelt condolences to all. (505)753-2288 www.riverafamilyfuneralhome.com
