Edward Kenneth Ortiz

Ed Ortiz, passed away on May 20th, 2021 after a battle with lung cancer. 

He was born in Las Vegas NM and retired from the US Navy. He also retired from the State of New Mexico Dept of Corrections. He enjoyed riding his Harley and rebuilding his 1970 Roadrunner. He loved his family very much and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by father Napoleon Ortiz, Mother Aurora Riggs, Niece Heather Ortiz, and Nephew Dominic Uranga.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Ortiz of 34 years, Daughter Amanda (Brandon), Grandson Mason, Brothers Bob (Marta), Leroy, Mike, Joe (Tammy) Sisters Yvonne (Ramona), Yolanda (Vern), Shirley (Floyd) Brenda (Robert), Julie. Brothers in law Paul (Judy) David and Sister in law Grace. And Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mass will be held at 11:00am June 9th at Santa Maria De La Paz. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
