Edward S. Lujan, affectionately known as Ed, passed away peacefully at his home on August 31, 2025, leaving behind a legacy defined by his commitment to service and a passion for music. Born on April 12, 1948, in El Rancho, New Mexico, Ed's life was marked by resilience and dedication.

Ed served his country honorably in the United States Army, demonstrating a strong sense of duty that would follow him into civilian life. He started his commendable career at Mountain Bell Phone Company in California and later moved back home to New Mexico to begin a career as a Corrections Officer at the New Mexico State Penitentiary and later as a Security Guard with the State of New Mexico.

In addition to his commitment to public service, Ed had a profound love for music. He enjoyed creating CDs for family and friends, sharing his passion and joy through the melodies he carefully curated. Music was not only a hobby but a beautiful means of connection and expression in his life.

Ed is survived by his loving daughters, Lora Gonzales (Dino), Joy Krenzke (Justin), Prady Lujan (Nathan), and his son Robert Lujan (Tammy). Upon his retirement, Ed took pride in the accomplishments of his career and the relationships he nurtured throughout his lifetime. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched through his unwavering dedication and his love for music.

Per Ed’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held for immediate family only.
