Eddie C. Mollohan, 54, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on April 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness, with his children by his side. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and a proud veteran.

Eddie was born in Española, New Mexico, to Charles Mollohan and Velma Abeyta. He shared a strong and loving bond with his mother, Velma, and his grandparents, who were an important part of his life. As a young man, he spent much of his time on his grandparents’ ranch, where his lifelong love for the outdoors began.

Eddie proudly began his military service in the United States Navy in 1994. He later continued his service in the United States Air Force and went on to retire from the Air National Guard in 2012. His dedication and commitment to serving others reflected the quiet strength that defined his life.

Though naturally quiet, Eddie became animated when speaking about the things he loved. He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found camping, hunting, or fishing. He also had a passion for working on classic cars and drag racing. His first car was a ’73 Nova, which he continued to drive through his last race in November 2025, a hobby he carried throughout his life.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Mollohan and Velma Abeyta; his paternal grandparents, Charles H. Mollohan and Ericilla Roybal; and his maternal grandparents, Eduvigen and Teresina Serrano.

Eddie is survived by his children, Amber Mollohan, Brandon Mollohan (Mia), Brianna Mollohan (Matthew), Arianna Mollohan, and Athena Mollohan, who will carry forward his memory and the values he instilled in them. He also leaves behind a loving family and many friends who surrounded him with comfort and support in his final days.

Eddie will be remembered for his calm presence, his deep love for his family and friends, and the passion he brought to the things he cared about most. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Serving as pallbearers will be Angelo Saiz, Jerome Martinez, Billy Calcut, Louie Aldez, John Rodriguez and Robbie Ramirez. Honorary pallbearers will be Amber, Brandon, Brianna, Arianna and Athena Mollohan.
