Dulcinea T. Vigil

Dulcinea T. Vigil, 82, a resident of Rio Chiquito, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016. Dulcinea was preceded in death by her husband, Dimas Vigil; parents, Marcos and Higinia Trujillo; sisters, Tina Trujillo and Tonie Lopez, sister-in-law Tina E. Trujillo, brothers, Esquipula and Reyes Trujillo; in-laws, Esquipula and Francesquita Vigil; brothers-in-law Albino Trujillo and Juan Trujillo; nephews Robert and Albino Trujillo Jr. Dulcinea was a humble, service-oriented, hardworking individual, who loved to work on tinsmithing projects, weaving, and tend to her garden. She was a faithful Catholic and lived her faith and found happiness helping those in need. Her love for her children and grandchildren was unconditional. Dulcinea is survived by her children, Virginia Vigil and Viola Vigil of Rio Chiquito, Lourdes Cordova (Eloy) of Cuarteles, Severo Vigil (Donna) of Chamita, Alvaro Vigil (Cindy) of Cordova, Susan Pacheco (Larry) of Chamita, and Melissa Maestas (Richard) of Rio Chiquito. Grandchildren Kristal Vigil and Michael Vigil of Chamita, Zachary Vigil and Destiny Vigil of Cordova, Francesca Pacheco, Jessica Pacheco and Michael Pacheco of Chamita, Tomas Maestas of Rio Chiquito, Ricky Maestas of Chili and Jenae Valdez(Josh) and Alexa of Albuquerque. In-laws, Samuel and Andrea Vigil of Cundiyo, Floraida Vigil of Cundiyo, Toni Trujillo of Potrero, and Abel and Mary Vigil of Colorado, brother in-law, Jose A. Lopez, many special nieces, nephews, Godchildren and extended family and special friends Alice Maestas, Helen Martinez and Josie Ortiz . Serving as pallbearers are, Severo Vigil, Alvaro Vigil, Michael Vigil, Zachary Vigil, Larry Pacheco, Michael Pacheco, Eloy Cordova, Richard Maestas, and Tomas Maestas. Honorary pallbearers are Dulcinea’s daughters, granddaughters, and Godchildren. Public visitation will be held Thursday March 31 from 5 to 6 pm at Rivera Funeral Home. Rosary will be held Thursday March 31 at 7:45 pm at Holy Family Parish, and funeral mass will be Friday April 1 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish in Chimayo. Interment to follow at Rio Chiquito Cemetery. The family of Dulcinea Vigil has entrusted the care of their loved one to the Rivera Funeral Home.
