Dorothy Baldonado

In Loving Memory of Dorothy Baldonado, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved friend. She passed away peacefully at her home in Santa Fe, New Mexico on May 22, 2025, at the age of 82. Born in Glorieta, New Mexico, Dorothy spent her life rooted in faith, family, and quiet strength.

A devoted homemaker, Dorothy poured her heart into creating a warm and loving home for her children and grandchildren. Her gentle spirit and unwavering love were the foundation upon which generations were raised. Her door was always open, and her kitchen was often filled with the plants she cared for and flowers that she adored.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Abe. She missed him dearly and spoke of him often, keeping his memory close in everything she did.

She is survived by her children: daughter Joann and her husband Martin; son Michael and his wife Patsy; daughter Mary and her husband Carlos; daughter Diana and her husband Mario; and son Jeff. Her legacy also lives on through her grandchildren: Arsenio; Clarissa and her wife DeAndra; Brandon; Bryana and her husband Sydney; Adriana; Reyna; Perla and her husband Joey; Karina and her husband Santiago; Araceli; and Carlos. She was especially proud of her great-granddaughter, Ayva, whose smile lit up her world and brought her immeasurable joy.

Dorothy was a woman of faith, finding peace and strength in her scripture books and her quiet moments of prayer. She had a special love for flowers—carnations were her favorite—and she found beauty in life’s simple pleasures. Whether working on a puzzle at the kitchen table, watching cooking competitions or adding to her cherished Elvis Presley collection, Dorothy found joy in the small things that made each day meaningful.

More than anything, Dorothy will be remembered for her kindness, humility, and the way she made each person in her life feel loved and important. Her legacy is one of grace, strength, and faith.

A rosary will be recited at Santa Maria De La Paz on June 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by mass. Burial will take place at Rivera Family Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens immediately after.

Dorothy's gentle presence will be deeply missed, but her love and wisdom will continue to guide her family for generations to come. We find comfort in knowing that she is reunited with Abe, and that her spirit lives on in every flower that blooms and every memory we hold dear.
