Donny Atkins, 77, of Angel Fire and Albuquerque, NM, passed away on July 11, 2026, after a long illness. Donny was born in Tulsa, OK, on March 10, 1949. Donny was preceded in death by his wife, Candy, and is survived by his sister, Sandra Paulsgrove.

Donny and Candy loved their mountain cabin near Angel Fire. Both were talented artists and created their clothing and leather line Bear Paw. Donny enjoyed old west re-enactments and had a passion for everything Alamo-related. After Candy’s passing, and with a progressive illness, Donny moved to Albuquerque in 2019. As was his wish, his remains will stay in the Angel Fire mountains he so loved. There will be no service.
