Doloritas Martinez 83, a resident of Chamita, passed away at the family home Saturday, December 17, 2016. Doloritas was preceded in death by her father Anastacio Garcia, mother Rosa Garcia, Husband Alvaro Martinez, Sister Mary Dominguez, daughter Josie Martinez, granddaughter Veronica Martinez. Doloritas is survived by 6 children, John Michael Sisneros Sr, Carmelita Valdez and husband Daniel, Manuel Martinez and wife Betty, Richard Martinez, Martin Martinez, Sr, and wife Lucille, and Rudy Martinez. Doloritas is also survived by 15 grandchildren, John Michael Jr, Terese Sisneros, Catherine Valdez (Alexis), Jeanette Chacon (Toby), Victor Valdez Jr (Sabrina), Georgette P. Garcia (Roland), Bonnie Padilla, April Martinez, Martin Martinez Jr, Monica Martinez, Renee, Rhiannon, Layla, Antonia Martinez, and 17 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel, Doloritas will then be taken to St. John the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh, NM for a Rosary that will be prayed at 7:00PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, NM. Burial will follow at the San Pedro Catholic Cemetery in Chamita, NM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rivera Funeral Home of Espanola, NM.
