Dolores Rebecca Roybal

A lifelong resident of Pecos, New Mexico departed this life on July 21, 2026. Born to Liberato A. Vigil and Rebecca Vigil on January 31, 1947; Dolores lived a life deeply rooted in family, faith, and community.

Dolores was affectionately known as the "Popcorn Queen" during her years as the elementary school secretary, a nickname that reflected the warmth and joy she brought to everyone she encountered. She later moved on to the administrative services department at Glorieta Conference Center, where she worked until her retirement, earning the respect and friendship of colleagues throughout her career.

As a devout Catholic and active member of St. Anthony's Parish, Dolores's faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She found her greatest joy in spending time with family and friends, and she poured her whole heart into the people in her life and everything she did. Her passions included crafting, sewing, cooking for the people around her table and traveling to new places with her loving husband.

Dolores is survived by her loving husband, Frank Roybal; her daughter, Francine Martinez, and son-in-law, William Martinez; her son, Brian Roybal; grandsons Thomas and wife Jessica , Christopher and Rayanna, and Francisco Martinez, and David and Adam Roybal; great-grandsons Uriah and Christopher Jr (CJ); and great-granddaughter Camila.

Dolores is remembered and loved for her warmth, her generous spirit, and the countless lives she touched as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her legacy of love, faith, and family will forever live on in all who knew her.

Pallbearers are Thomas, David, Adam, Christopher, Francisco, and Uriah.

Honorary Pallbearers are Margo Herrera, Vivian Archuleta, Billy Vigil and Gabrielle "Gabby" Vigil.

Services: A Rosary will be held Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church in Pecos, NM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Pecos Cemetery.
