With a heavy heart and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of our beloved, Dennis Lee Womack. A man who stood firm in his convictions, loved whole heartly and left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of those closest to him.

Dennis learned the value of hard work at a very young age working alongside his father in the family business, James Womack Painting Company. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. He was a Private First Class, in the First Infantry Division, "Big Red One".

He then went on to attend Highlands University where he studied drafting and met numerous friends and connections that would last a lifetime. His commitment to the craft continued as he moved to Seattle to work alongside his brothers in the family business.

Eventually he returned to Santa Fe where he proudly established his own venture, "Generation Painting and Sandblasting". He married Annette in 2001 and had their son Preston. He was more than a talented tradesman; he was a devoted husband, proud father, grandfather and a steadfast friend whose strength and love shaped everyone blessed to know him.

Outside of work Dennis found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman and relished in camping and traveling while always surrounded by family and friends. He took great pride in attending car shows throughout New Mexico, often showcasing his 1947 Buick.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Annette Womack. His children Denise Avila (Joe), Chad Muxlow, Darci Cogburn, Angelo "Lucky" Womack (Dana) and Preston Womack. Grandchildren: Joshua, Jovien, Jessie, Sunshine, Chase(Jordyn), Anna Marie, Tyler(Korinna), Christopher, Eric, Diego, Stevie Lee and one great Grandson Omarion. Also leaving behind his cherished sisters Bernice Valencia (Leroy), Maggie Womack and Joyce Womack and brothers Inky Womack (Joy) Moosie Womack, along with his mother-in-law Joann Roybal and sister-in-law, Patricia Houston (Donald) and his uncle Mac Lopez, whom he shared a special bond with. Plus, many of his nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply.

He is proceeded in death by his parents James and Virginia "Babe" Womack, nephew Justin Womack, daughter in law Mary Muxlow, father-in-law Edward D. Roybal and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Thank you to all our family and friends that have supported and comforted us during this challenging time. We appreciate and love you all. Thank you to AMG Specialty Hospital for the wonderful care they provided for my husband during his stay there.

Dennis will always be known as the kind of man who could lift your mood with a single joke, he found joy in teasing those he loved the most. His memories are filled with tales of being protective of those he loved, always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family in need. He had a zest for life that was infectious: he loved embarking on road trips and creating memories and stories that were larger than life. He was a well-known prankster whose laughter will echo in our hearts forever and will be missed dearly by us all.
