David Martinez age 68 a resident of Los Luceros, NM passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father Patrick Martinez and mother Angelina Montoya; grandparents Seferino and Candelaria Salazar; siblings Patrick Martinez Jr., Margaret Watson, and Gilbert Valdez; great niece; Destiny Herrera; great nephew; Eli Martinez; brother-in-law Randy Maestas; uncles Leandro, Bernardo, Juvencio, Gito, Teodoro, Seferino, Jr., and Filadelphio Salazar; aunts Elisa Salazar, Mary Archuleta, Sylveria Salazar, Eloisa Salazar, and Mercedes Maestas.

David is survived by his long time companion Marie Serna and her family; son David Martinez; siblings Kenneth Valdez (Veronica), Kathleen Maestas (Jerome), Margaret Martinez, and Julian Martinez; aunts Betty (Randy) Norris, Julia Hills; nephews and nieces Clyde (Rica), Michael, Angeline (Steve), Andrea (Ray), Kasey Anne, Isaiah (Rebecca) Joel, Randy, Anthony, Marlene, Miquela, and Gilbert; great nephews and nieces; Jaylend, CJ, Monique, Kevin, Patrick, Jesslyn, Jennifer, Rayna, Kasen, Zamara, Brianna, Cattaleya, Kyara, Jayden, Josiah, Alex, Kashton, Kenai, Riverlynn, and Connie Sue; many cousins, relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh, NM. Interment will follow funeral mass at the Alcalde Cemetery.
