Danny Narvaiz, age 80 passed away suddenly surrounded by family on February 17, 2016. Danny was born in the village of Agua Fria on May 7, 1935. His family later moved to Los Angles, CA where Danny finished middle and high school. He and his family then returned to their home in the Agua Fria Village, where he had many fond memories of as a child. Soon after Danny enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Goose Bay in Labrador, Canada. After serving his country, he returned home where he established Danny’s Upholstery, a business that he continued to own and operate. Danny had a larger than life personality, with a constant smile on his face, was a jokester and fixture in Santa Fe. Throughout his lifetime he was involved in the 4-H Club, Santa Fe Little Theater, Jaycee’s, Santa Fe Fiesta Counsel and was one of the founders of the Archers De Santa Fe. Danny’s presence will be greatly missed but his memories will remain. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dan and Lucy Narvaiz; siblings, Teresita Romero and David Narvaiz. He is survived by his sister Gloria Narvaiz and his close niece whom he helped raise, Dorie Lopez and her husband Ted and their sons TJ and Jered Lopez. In addition, Danny is survived by his many nieces and nephews, Ron Romero, Cindy and Ken Carrillo, Rosalie Doyle, Sandra and Chris Pacheco, Eric Romero, Carol and Tim Trimborn, Elaine Romero, Jenna and Brett Jones (and their families); as well as many friends. Pallbearers will be Jered Lopez, TJ Lopez, Brandon Trimborn, Vincent Smith, Toby Jaramillo, Ted Lopez and Mike Trujillo. Danny’s funeral and his celebration of life will take place on Friday, February 26th at 10:00am at Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 Rodeo Road. Burial will follow at the Agua Fria Cemetery. A reception following his burial will be at his home, 3636 Agua Fria.
