Danny Quintana, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, departed this world on February 27, 2026, leaving behind a tapestry of cherished memories that will forever be woven into the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Born on November 13, 1946, in the enchanting landscape of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Danny was a vibrant spirit who embraced life with a unique passion that touched everyone he encountered.
From an early age, Danny displayed an unyielding love for classic American cars, particularly his adored Red Chevy Impala which he often reminisced about with gleaming eyes and infectious enthusiasm. His teenage years were filled with adventures that revolved around these automobiles—conversations ignited by the beauty of their craftsmanship and the freedom they symbolized. Those memories became a cornerstone of pride for him, a testament to a youth lived fully amidst the hum of engines and the thrill of the open road.
Life, however, dealt Danny a challenging hand. Enduring serious health conditions for most of his adult life, he faced each day with a remarkable resilience; rarely did he voice complaints against the trials he bore. Instead, Danny’s spirit soared through unwavering faith, having been brought up in the Catholic tradition, which instilled in him a profound love for the Lord. Attending mass and reading his rosary were lifelong practices that brought him comfort and joy, guiding him throughout the many seasons of his life.
Danny's playful nature was evident in his interactions, where he enjoyed charming the ladies with his cheeky phrases, unabashedly declaring them "Real Pretty." His warm, inviting smile and endearing expressions painted countless moments for family gatherings, where laughter echoed through the air, and sweet delicacies like Natillas and rice pudding—masterpieces crafted by his beloved mother—held a special place on the table. The joy of spending time with family was paramount in Danny’s life; his heart swelled with love for his brothers Louie and Freddy, and his sisters Sophie, Delfine, and Geraldine, as well as the many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who formed an expansive network of support and affection.
As he transitioned into his final chapter, Danny passed away peacefully in his sleep, leaving behind cherished memories embedded deep within the hearts of these loved ones. Although faced with a prolonged illness, he transcended adversity with grace, living each day as an expression of the vibrancy that was uniquely his.
With his parents, Philadelphio and Maria De La Paz, and his son Allen eagerly awaiting him in that other realm, Danny now embraces a tranquility that eluded him in his earthly journey. The legacy of his laughter, his stories, and his steadfast faith remain as a shining beacon for those left behind.
A celebration of life, rich with love and gratitude for the moments shared, awaits at a later date as family and friends gather to honor a life beautifully lived. He may no longer be “Fifty/Fifty,” but rather evolves into “Ten-Fo, Four-o-Nine,” living on in the memories we hold dear, where his spirit continues to uplift and inspire.
