In Loving Memory of Daniel Levario Solis

Daniel Levario Solis, 82, of Sonora, Arizona, passed away on August 18, 2026.

Daniel spent many meaningful years in Santa Fe and Española, New Mexico, where he built a life rooted in family, community, faith, and service. He dedicated much of his career to helping others as a Programs Coordinator at the Penitentiary of New Mexico and Case Manager at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Daniel was an avid reader and a devoted follower of politics and current events. He enjoyed staying informed about the world around him and was never one to shy away from a good conversation or sharing his thoughts and opinions. His curiosity, strong spirit, faith, and unique perspective will be remembered by all who knew him.

Daniel is survived by his sons, Ray (Yolanda) Solis and Daniel (Cynthia) Solis Jr., and his daughter, Lydia Solis, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Celia Levario Bustamante; his siblings, Belen (Jose “Chewy”) Vargas, Andres (Delores) Bustamante III, Otilia (Tranquilino) Rendon, Angelita Campos, Alice (George) Noriega, Magdelena (Roberto) Mendoza; Sister in Law Della (Andres) Bustamante, and his daughter, Celia Solis and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Daniel leaves behind a family who will carry his memory forward through the stories they share, the lessons he taught, and the love that connected them. His life was filled with experiences, opinions, laughter, challenges, and countless moments that will remain treasured by those who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May Daniel "Papa" rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before him and those who remain to carry his memory in their hearts.
