Cruz Chavez

Cruz Gabriel Chavez, II, 42, of Ranchos de Taos, Loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, coach, teacher and mentor to many students, passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2017. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Manuelita Chavez and Hernando Jaramillo, aunt, Loretta DeHerrera, cousins, George Paul Salazar and Brad Jaramillo. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Chavez, parents, Cruz and Elma Chavez, children, Cruz III (Suzie), Andres, Marcus (Audrea), Isaiah, Alexis and Leyah Chavez and Ariana Medina, step daughters, Ashlee Cordova and Lia Martinez, two grandbabies on the way, brother, Hernando Chavez (Jacquelyn), nephews and nieces, Mateo, Augustine and Ava Marie Chavez, Isaiah and Braelyn Quintana, grandmother, Mercedes Jaramillo, mothers of his children, Valerie Trujillo (John, Jonnea), and Renee Yepez, many other relatives, students, friends and colleagues. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 6 PM at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 10 AM at San Francisco de Asis Church with interment following at the Los Alamitos Cemetery in Los Cordovas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cruz G. Chavez II Memorial Scholarship Fund at Centinel Bank.
