Cruz B. Martinez

Cruz B. Martinez, age 71, a resident of La Mesilla, NM passed away on March 1, 2015. He was born in August of 1943, in Sabinoso, NM to Ramoncita and Navor Martinez. He married Pasquala Mitchell in April of 1962 in Mosquero, NM. Cruz was a lifelong roofer and a devoted member of Valley Bible Baptist Church. Cruz enjoyed collecting antiques and spending precious time with all his grand kids and great grand kids, and was greatly loved by all. He is preceded in death by his parents Navor and Ramoncita Martinez, son, infant baby Jacobo Martinez, sister, Francisca Cordova, brother, Benino Martinez, brother-in-law, Ernesto Mitchell. He is survived by his wife Pasquala Martinez, sons, Julian Martinez (Brenda), Jimmy Martinez (Josie), daughters, Kathy Martinez, Jeanette Tsosie (Toby), brothers, Navor Martinez (Tomasita), George Martinez (companion Margie), Mike Martinez, Simon Martinez (Elaine), Alfonso Martinez (Irene), Jose Martinez, sisters, Lupita Jaramillo (Joe), Adela Garcia, Susanna Gutierrez. Grandchildren, Candie Quintana and Julian, Renee Torres (Leonard), Jimmy Martinez (Andrea), Eric and Angelica Martinez, Daren Martinez, Cody Martinez, Samantha Martinez (Isidoro), Symone Tsosie, Kristen Martinez, Renada Baca, Jerome and Nakeisha Martinez, Caleb Joshua and Connor Tsosie. Also surviving him are his great-grandchildren Kylie, Emmy, Christina, Jaslene, Myla, Jayla, Julianna, Francisco, Elizabeth, Elias and Jeremiah, and many other relatives and friends. Services took place at Valley Bible Baptist Church in Arroyo Seco, NM, on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Burial took place in Logan, NM. Serving the family as pallbearers are, Jimmy Cruz Martinez, Eric Martinez, Leonard Torrez, Cody Martinez, Caleb Tsosie and Jerome Martinez.
