Listen to Obituary

Craig Baldridge Stamm, 78, a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, passed away suddenly on October 14th, 2026. He is survived by his family: siblings Linda Strong, Becky Stamm, Jennifer Stamm, beloved daughter Erica Stamm, son in law Jacob Tafoya; niece and nephews Kare Williams, Lars Strong, Michael Brito-Stamm, Joseph Lewis, and Matthew Lewis; cousins Paul Stamm, Brad Stamm, and Susan Evans. Craig is preceded in death by his parents Allen Stamm, Roberta Utz Stamm and brother Jack Stamm.

Craig attended New Mexico State University and majored in Civil Engineering. He also served in the National Guard. He was a design engineer for the New Mexico State Highway Department. After many years of service he retired and dedicated himself to activities such as a ski instructor at Ski Santa Fe, skydiving, coaching baseball teams, Big Brothers Big Sisters, billiard competition, volunteer teacher, Santa Fe Fiesta Council, Shriners, Toastmasters, driving a school bus, a casino dealer, chess club, traveling, and many other interests and hobbies.

A true Santa Fe character and seeker, later in life he was deeply involved in substance recovery, native advocacy, spanish language education, and mental health philanthropy.

He will be remembered for his infinite compassion, participation in community, kindness, and never ending supply of jokes. An avid sports fan he could be found at a Lobos game or cheering his team the Dallas Cowboys. He was a friend to all and connected deeply with everyone he met. He was light hearted, adventurous, and unapologetically himself. He will sorely be missed by many.

His celebration of life is pending.
