Clyde had an illustrious career.  He dedicated over 25 years to public service beginning with his employment at the State Land Office in the late 1950's and subsequently contributing his talents to the City of Santa Fe Planning Department and the State Highway Department where he retired from. His commitment to service and community was further highlighted by his role as an elementary basketball coach, a little league baseball coach, and finally as an usher at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi for many years.

Clyde was a clean and meticulous individual with a good sense of humor, qualities that endeared him to friends and family alike. He cared for and cherished his family deeply.  He also cared for numerous friends who he loved to talk with.  Clyde took great joy landscaping his home and tending to his beautiful grass, trees, shrubs and flowers.  Clyde also loved to play golf, a passion that brought him immense happiness for most of his life.

He leaves behind his cherished family including his sons, Clyde Archibeque Jr. (Wife Gina) and Steve Archibeque; his daughter, Kim Garcia (Husband Ray); his brother, Johnny Archibeque (Wife Dolo); and his sister, Priscilla Perez. He was a proud grandfather to Elena Montoya, Clyde Archibeque III, Jolene Archibeque-Schachtner (Husband Justin), Tiffany Archibeque, Estevan Archibeque, and Jessica Johnson-Dimas (Husband Junior) and his great-grandchildren: Angelo, Karmela, Marcos, Tyler, Andrew, Issac, Lilyanna, Andres, Emma and Natacia.
