Clemente "Nico Ramirez

Clemente "Nico" Ramirez – Age 65 of Ojo Caliente, passed on to a better life on Saturday, January 13, 2007 after a lengthy illness. His father, Guadalupe Arrey; and two sons: Victor and Jessie Ramirez, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Maxine; his mother, Lela of Arrey, New Mexico; three children: Gino, Leroy and wife Loretta and Connie Ramirez all of Las Cruces, NM; three step children: Marcus Maestas and wife Leah of Denver, Colorado, Atley Maestas of Ojo Caliente, Crystal Martinez and husband Michael of Ojo Caliente; mother-in-law, Lupe Sena; brother-in-law, Nick and his wife Bernice Sena all of Ojo Caliente; five brothers: Marty and wife Silvia Arrey, Douglas and wife Elaine Arrey, Larry and wife Alicia, Jerry and Alex Arrey all of Las Cruces; three sisters: Julia and husband Frank Dominguez, Dolores Diaz, Annette Fuentes and her companion Brian all of Las Cruces, NM; he is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other relatives; a special cousin, Stella Arrey of Santa Fe; their closest friend, Lillian Gallegos of Alcalde; and two little angels who were "La Luz de su Casa," Miquela and Aliana Martinez of Ojo Caliente. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church with father Pat Chavez officiating. Interment will follow at the Ojo Caliente Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Nick Sena, Atley and Marcus Maestas, Michael Martinez, Marty Arrey and Joey Sedillo. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Stella Arrey, Lillian Gallegos, Kate Correa, Nor a Arellano and Dr. Kathleen Maley.
