My Love, Chris went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2025. He was born February 28, 1985, in Santa Fe, NM
He is preceded in death by his Grandfather KT Lopez and his Old Old Grama Esther M. Martinez
He is survived by his wife Celina, sons, Brandon & Dylan. His mother Catherine Meyer, his father Joseph Meyer, his mother-in-law Christine Luchetti and Steve Seitz, his brother Nick Gonzales and wife Karla, his brother Daniel Meyer and wife Felicia, sisters-in-law; Lynette Luchetti, Jolene Bueno and husband Carlos, his nieces and nephews: Amariz, Ciana, Amira, Ethan, Aviana, Luke and Eli. Including numerous family and friends.
Chris was a graduate of Santa Fe High School. He continued his college education and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Networking Administration.
Chris was ambitious and kindhearted. He was employed with Tax & Revenue at age 18 and continued up the ladder within the State of New Mexico. He was beloved at the State Land Office, where everyone knew they could count on him to get things done.
Chris loved the outdoors, golfing with his buddies, hunting with his dad and brother Daniel, family time at Elephant Butte Lake fishing or being at a football or a basketball game. Coaching ignited a passion and burned his light brighter. He loved challenging and molding young athletes to be their best, including his sons. The Mambas, SBC and the Horsemen will forever be blessed by his love for them and the game. He was a lover of music and loved to sing. Making people laugh was also one of his gifts. He was the light of our lives, and his light will continue to shine on everyone he made smile, laugh or knew. May God hold you near Chris. We love you. Forever.

A rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the Chapel of Light at Rivera’s Family Funeral home.
A mass with be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi.
A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at Rosario Cemetery.
Followed by a Celebration of Life and reception at The Light at Mission Viejo from 2:00-6:00 PM
