Christopher Archuleta, a man known for his kindhearted spirit and deep love for his family, passed unexpectedly on March 9, 2026, in his hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Born on August 19, 1984, Christopher spent his life embracing the beauty of the world around him and the warmth of the people he cherished most. His journey may have ended too soon, but the impact of his life endures with those who knew and loved him.
Christopher’s work in construction was more than a career; it was a testament to his dedication and ability to fix just about anything. He took pride in his craftsmanship and his hands-on approach to every challenge. Beyond his professional life, Christopher was a man of varied interests that brought joy and excitement into his days. Whether he was fishing peacefully by a lake, camping under the stars, indulging in a game of gambling, playing basketball or horseshoes with friends, or adding to his cherished collections of jerseys, coins, and old bills, Christopher’s enthusiasm for life was contagious.
Above all, Christopher treasured his family. His beloved children, Tony Archuleta and Jaslene Archuleta, carry forward his legacy of love and strength. He was a loving son to Bernice Salcido and a devoted stepchild to Sotero Salcido. His mother and grandmother, Cora Archuleta, held a special place in his heart, as did his brothers Phil Baca, Anthony Salcido, Gerardo Salcido, and Javier Salcido. The bonds with his extended family were strong, including his aunts and uncles Margaret and Paul Baca, Tommy and Bernadette Archuleta, Johnny Archuleta, and Joseph and Erica Vasquez, as well as his nephew Phillip Baca and many cousins who all hold him dear. Christopher was preceded in death by cherished family members Alfonso Archuleta and Antonio Ibarra, his grandfathers; along with Judy Perez and Rosemary McReynolds, his aunts; and James Perea, his uncle.
Services to honor and remember Christopher will begin with a visitation on March 24, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Rivera Family Funeral & Cremations of Santa Fe, located at 417 East Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe, NM. Following this, a rosary will be held at the same location from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., inviting all who knew him to come together in prayer and reflection.
On March 25, 2026, a Mass will be celebrated at San Isidro Parish & San Jose Mission, 2148 San Ysidro Crossing, Santa Fe, NM, beginning at 11:00 a.m. This sacred ceremony will mark the spiritual farewell to a man whose kindness touched countless lives. The day’s events will conclude with interment at Rosario Catholic Cemetery, 499 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM, at 12:30 p.m., where Christopher will be laid to rest among the earth he loved.
Christopher Archuleta’s life was one marked by heartfelt generosity, a dedication to family, and a passion for the simple joys that make life meaningful.
