Carter Evans

It is with great sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Carter M. Evans, 75 of Rio Rancho NM on June 29th, 2026.

Carter was born in Los Alamos and served in the United States Navy as a CTT3. Stationed in Edzell Scotland he married his wife of 53 years, Janette. After the Navy, Carter pursued his career as an electrical technician at Siemens and later earned his associate degree as a radiology technician. Carter built a life defined by patience and unconditional love. His life was a testament to a selfless heart, grounded in boundless compassion and quiet wisdom

His children were the pride of his life, and he cherished his three grandchildren in his later years. Outside of spending valuable time with his family, he enjoyed music, cards, and podcasts.

Carter Evans was preceded in death by his father Reid Evans, beloved mother Irene Paine, and brother Scott Evans.

He is survived by his wife Janette Evans, daughter Michelle Evans (Tom), son Jason Evans, son Leigh Evans (Ashley), sister Kellie Rivera, sister Noel Hancock, brother Nik Evans, and grandchildren.
