Carol Wheeler

Carol Ann Wheeler of Ranchos de Taos passed away peacefully at home on 12/18/2023 with family and friends by her side.  Born in 1948 in Chicago, IL., she had a master’s degree in social work from the University of Georgia and had a successful private practice as a psychotherapist in Atlanta, GA.  Upon retiring from her private practice, Carol returned to Taos where she was once on the staff of the St. Bernard Hotel (1970s). Carol was a passionate animal advocate and supported Stray Hearts and the Four Corners Animal League.  She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Devine of Atlanta, GA. and her niece Dr. Jennifer Devine (Fritzler) of Norman, OK.
