Beatrice Abeyta

November 3, 1943 — May 22, 2025

Beatrice Abeyta, 81, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished matriarch, left us too soon on May 22, 2025. Born on November 3, 1943, in Alcalde, NM, Beatrice embodied the spirit of family and home, serving as the glue that held her loved ones together. Throughout her life, Beatrice dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, embracing the role of homemaker with grace and unwavering devotion. Her love for her family knew no bounds. Beatrice's bright personality and radiant smile lit up any room she entered, embodying the essence of joy and warmth. She enjoyed visiting friends and family and often arrived with a bag of goodies and an offer to help.

Beatrice met her beloved husband, Leonard Abeyta in Española, New Mexico when she was in her early 20s. Their love was a testament to the beauty of their companionship, and they celebrated 61 years of marriage this year. Together, they created a nurturing environment filled with warmth, love, and, of course, Beatrice's culinary delights—her famous red chile enchiladas remain a family favorite and a cherished memory that will live on in their hearts.

She leaves behind a legacy that speaks to the profound impact one person can have on the lives of many. Her spirit, characterized by kindness and strength, will continue to resonate through the lives of her husband and sons.
